Individual RussaYog specially tailored class: 75-minute private instruction for individual needs (where specific modification is needed due to low mobility, grip strength issues, balance limitations...). Doctor's advice recommended $80.00

Here are a few suggestions to ensure that each RussaYogi has a positive and peaceful experience at RussaYog studio.

• Floors have mats, so no need to bring a yoga mat.
• Arrive on time. If you arrive late, please enter QUIETLY.
• Enter fresh and clean.
• Please remove your shoes at the door and place them on the bench. Wear comfortable clothing.
Please turn off cell-phones. Allow yourself to leave worries behind during your practice.
• After eating wait 1-2 hours before practicing. A full stomach interferes with practicing correct postures and deep breathing.
Inform us before class if you have any injuries; modifications can be made to the asans. If you feel any pain during an asan, stop the asan.
Take care not to clench the teeth, strain the eyes, hunch the shoulders, or hold the breath, unless instructed. Yoga asans are entered into slowly and thoughtfully. Yoga is not competitive. Use your breath to work through tension.
• You may use gloves if you like. Weight-training gloves or bicycle gloves can work.
The jute ropes are hand-conditioned with 'Surgeon's Skin Secret,' a special blend of beeswax, mineral oil and lanolin.
• Regular practice is necessary to receive the full benefits of yoga.
If you are pregnant: practice should always be done under the supervision of a physician.
• During the menstrual cycle listen and respect your body and make a decision that is appropriate for you.
Please follow the instructor's lead. If you need to do an alternate asan, please take a rope near the back of the room in order to avoid distraction.
